Geothermal heat supply system in Eschborn

45 geothermal probes for Mergenthaler

Not just green, but powerful! Bauer Resources constructed a geothermal probe system for the “MERGENTHALER” project in Eschborn. Using the horizontal directional drilling method, a total of 45 geothermal probes were installed up to a depth of 100 m and more than 2,200 linear meters of lines were laid and connected to a total of four distribution shafts. This might seem easy, but work was highly difficult at times, particularly due to the limited site area and busy activity all around the construction site. The hard work paid off in the end: The system is able to generate a total capacity of 200 kW, which corresponds to the heating demand for roughly 40 single-family homes.
