Geothermal activation of an MIP wall in Lindau

Green energy for the island

The Am Kreisel residential neighborhood in Lindau is impressive not only because of its location on Lake Constance, but also due to sustainable energy supply: Bauer Resources played an important role in the project. How? By geothermally activating a 3,200 m2 BAUER energy wall and a 2,000 m2 foundation slab. Thermally activated double U profiles were specially manufactured for the requirements on site, more than 10 km of pipes were laid and everything was properly connected. Thanks to this geothermal energy, the building can be heated in winter and cooled in summer. Specifically, more than 100 kW of power can be generated – which is roughly equivalent to the heating demand of 20 modern single-family homes. This saves on costs and lots of CO2.
